How do you feel when... Open the box. Feelings! Balloon pop. Can't find it? Just make your own!
Students must guess the feeling by answering the question ‘Are you (happy)?’ with either ‘Yes, I am.’ or ‘No, I’m not.’. This feelings game can be used online and in classes teaching feelings and emotions vocabulary and expressions such as ‘How are you?’ and ‘Are you happy?’.
This game focuses on asking about and expressing emotions and feelings in English with four main sections. There is a feelings vocabulary practice section and an emotions spelling section. Then, there are feeling games for conversation practice and games for listening practice.
We have developed two games as part of our research and schools projects – a card game designed to test and stretch your emotional vocabulary – and an online game about changing expressions of emotions through history.
The aim of the game is to guess as many emotion words as possible – based on the drawings, descriptions, and charades of your team-mates – and then to place them on a two-dimensional map of feelings.
