I made a game like GeoGuessr, except free and unlimited. Some of you may have seen this same post here a month ago, but it got downvoted to 0 (at one point it was up to 15, then it just dropped for some reason). Thought I'd post it again in light of the news. From what I can tell, my site is the only financially stable alternative to GeoGuessr.
19 Δεκ 2020 · Have not heard about any free alternatives. There are still a few ways to play this for free though. You can either join challenges right here on Reddit or you can play along streamers doing challenges or ChatGuessr mode. Yeah, have a friend pick a place on google streetview and you guess where it is.
17 Ιαν 2021 · By creating City Guesser, I hope to contribute and add value to the Geography and Geo-Guessing community. I don't know what I would be without GeoGuessr and the welcoming geography community here on Reddit. Also, since City Guesser show's real video, being able to hear sounds around you is a huge help for geo-guessing. 🔈
14 Μαρ 2022 · F1 Tracks Map (1950-2022) Map Creation. I've created a map with all track F1 has raced on since 1950 and I would be happy if you wanted to try it and give me a feedback. It should be quite challenging since I tried to use mostly photospheres (sadly not always possible) and a few tracks don't even exist anymore.

21 Ιουν 2022 · Mraska. This GeoGuessr alternative is the best in my opinion... You have 2 game modes with 2 games every day to play (free account). One game mode is there you set your hiding spot and people need to guess it. Other one is to find the location that game has choosen. You have 30 seconds or 45 per round to guess it.

There will never be a good free alternative to geoguessr. Google charges money for use of their API. Services that use the API need to recoup those costs somehow. I feel bad for you if you can't afford $3 a month. I can easily afford $3 a month, but for a game I primarily play once a week for about 10 minutes.

Colombian cross: If you look at the back of roadsign and see a second beam vertical support beam forming a cross, you're likely going to be in Colombia.
