20 Ιουν 2020 · If you type literally 2:35, Excel interprets that as 2 hr 35 min. To enter 2 min 35 sec, type 0:2:35 or 2:35.0 . Excel will also auto-format the cell as Custom mm:ss.0. You might want to change that. (See below.) BTW, you can enter 60 or more minutes that way. If you type 61:35.0 , Excel interprets that as 1 hr 1 min (i.e. 61 min) 35 sec.
