Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, Ph.D. a.k.a. the Hulk, is an American theoretical physicist, famed for his work in the fields of nuclear physics and gamma radiation. He was recruited by General Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross and the U.S. Army to develop the first Gamma Bomb.
The first (and most famous) person to use the Hulk moniker was Bruce Banner, a scientist who was exposed to extreme amounts of gamma radiation that altered his DNA structure and caused him to become a giant monster of incredible power whenever he gets angry.
He appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe projects The Incredible Hulk, The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, What If...?, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
