Splinting a Broken Tent Pole. Whether your tent pole gets stepped on or a powerful gust of wind does the damage, a kinked, split or snapped pole needs immediate attention in the field. After your return home, replace the pole or have it permanently repaired.

12 Ιουν 2022 · Tent poles. Inspect your tent poles, especially the ends called ferrules, which hold the pole segments together, for any cracks, and then air-dry the poles. Cracks form when you let the end of the poles snap together and occur quite commonly, especially on ultralight tents that have thin poles.
However, the most frequent location for a leak in a tent is at the seams, where two pieces of cloth are join together. If you see water leaking in through the seams, clean them with alcohol or tent cleaning before applying seam sealant to prevent further leakage.
