5 Απρ 2024 · Why does pin 4 or 5 turn black in a Lightning Cable? Depending on the direction you are holding the cable, pin 4 or 5 of the cable is a power supply pin. When you connect the cable to the lightning port, sometimes there lies a tiny gap between the cable and the port.
A phenomenon exists on Lightning connectors in which Pin 1 or Pin 4 blackens over time, causing one side of the connector to cease functioning. These pins hold either a positive or negative electrical charge.
