r/masterduel: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel! I don't mind losing to a consistent deck with a strong board. Even full negate boards are less toxic than decks that banish/destroy cards from your opponent's hand/extra deck/deck.

28 Φεβ 2022 · This deck is surprisingly strong, and I've beaten every single meta deck with it (some way easier than others) with pretty consistent success. TOONS BEST DECK! Since getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh with the release of Master Duel, I've exclusively played this archetype.
Hey people, I have been playing Master Duel for a while now. I have collected a good few gems at this point, but I'm not sure what I would like to do with it yet, which is why I wanna try asking some people who know are a bit more fimiliar with the general Meta of the OCG/TCG.
21 Ιουλ 2022 · Master Duel is more similar to the old OCG meta due to allowing Maxx "C" at three. There are still many differences due to the BO1 format: examples include blind second decks and anti-meta decks having disproportional advantage in Master Duel.
I just think it can’t be a good thing for players to be presented anecdotal evidence as facts. TCG tier list content is always presented as opinion, and invites discussion. With Master Duel, you get people citing a deck as “tier 1” or “rogue” without ever considering evaluating things themselves.
Or just play an effective enough deck you want to use, and just ruin a meta players day by disrupting a crucial combo based on luck of the draw. For some meta decks, a simple combo interrupt is all it takes, and their entire deck is bricked if they don't have a counter. Heck, making em misplay with bait plays is also enough.

20 Ιαν 2022 · This is actually incorrect any card that says its only in the master duel set are actually in the archetype sets. What most people don't realize about the secret packs is that they are literally the same as the master pack the only difference is that 4 of the cards you pull are guaranteed from the archetype but the other 4 can be anything.
