Entry Requirements. 2025 Entry. MBBS Academic Requirements. Applicants should carefully check that they will meet the minimum academic standard before making an application. The entry requirements for the medical degree programme may differ from those of other undergraduate programmes at UCL.
Please read the 2025 entry requirements and also see the UCL online prospectus entry. Candidates may re-sit GCSE subjects in order to meet the GCSE requirements. Graduates who re-sat A levels before their degree will also be considered. Otherwise, we do not accept qualification re-sits, including re-starting Year 12.
We require at least seven GCSEs at grade A (7) or A* (8+). English Language, Mathematics and at least two science subjects are required at GCSE minimum grade B (6). If Dual Award Science or Core and Additional Science are offered, the minimum required is BB (66).
