OMNY is the easiest, most flexible way to pay your subway or bus fare. You don't have to sign up or download an app; simply use your contactless credit or debit card, smartphone, wearable device, or OMNY card to tap and go. OMNY currently supports full-fare and Reduced-Fare pay-per-ride options.

24 Οκτ 2024 · New York City subway fares are $2.90 per trip. For visitors staying more than a couple of days, you can buy a one-week unlimited MetroCard for $34 or an unlimited monthly MetroCard for $132.00. If you pay by contactless payment, there is a cap of $34/week, so you do not need to buy a weekly MetroCard.
Current fares. Fare media. MetroCard is accepted on MTA Regional buses, the New York City Subway, Metro North's Hudson Rail Link, the Staten Island Railway, PATH, Roosevelt Island Tramway, AirTrain JFK, Nassau Inter-County Express, and Bee-Line Bus.
The price of a single ticket on the New York subway is US$ 2.90. If you plan to use public transport frequently, we recommend paying with OMNY, as from the 12th trip onwards the weekly fare will be US$ 34.80. Until the end of 2024, you can still use the MetroCard, which is valid for the subway and buses.
