The anatomy of the paranasal sinuses, intricately inter-twined with adjacent structures, holds paramount impor-tance in radiology, clinical medicine, and surgical interven-tions, particularly in functional endoscopic sinus surgery (Stammberger and Kennedy 1995; Arslan et al. 1999; Gupta et al. 2012).
paranasal sinuses acts as natural contrast; therefore, CT scan in bone and soft tissue windows is sufficient to diagnose anatomical variations and pathology in most cases of chronic rhinosinusitis.
The paranasal sinuses are divided per their drainage systems into anterior sinuses group (maxillary, anterior ethmoid, and frontal sinuses) which drains into the middle meatus through the anterior ostiomeatal unit.
