PAYDAY: The Heist is a first-person shooter developed by Overkill Software and published by Sony Online Entertainment (now Daybreak Game Company). It was originally set to be released on October 4, 2011, but due to development issues, it was pushed back to October 18.
As the storyline progresses, new heisters sought to join the crew and/or are inducted by one of the four original members. As of PAYDAY 2, the whole gang consists of 22 characters, each with their own backstory, masks, signature sets of perks, and weaponry.
In Payday: The Heist, players use a variety of firearms to complete objectives (usually centered around stealing a certain object, person, or a particular amount of money). The game plays from the first person perspective, but offers a few twists on the standard FPS formula.
The first game from Overkill Software (headed by the founders of former studio GRIN), Payday is a fast-paced crime-themed first-person shooter that lets teams of players conduct robberies and other criminal activities while fending off waves of cops.
Villain Protagonist: All of the main characters are ruthless thieves who have no problem with robbing numerous people. Dallas (Assault) Dallas is a man who used to have strong ties with the mob, but was forcing to go into hiding when he caused them a little too much trouble.
