The PurpleAir Zen is the latest air quality monitor from PurpleAir, measuring real-time PM2.5 concentrations for residential, commercial, or industrial use. Containing a full-color LED ring, the resulting glow indicates real-time air quality at a glance, whether used indoors or out.
3 Φεβ 2023 · PurpleAir sensors use PMS*003 series laser counters to measure particulate matter in real time (the asterisk ‘*’ represents a number determining the version of the laser counter). Each laser counter within a pair alternates five-second readings averaged over two minutes.
15 Ιαν 2019 · Although PurpleAir currently does not have an app, there is a free iOS app called Local Haze which supports PurpleAir’s monitors. The app detects the nearest sensor to you and displays some basic data for the PM2.5 concentration in real-time.
27 Σεπ 2021 · PurpleAir is a company that sells personal AQI monitors to “citizen scientists.” There’s an indoor model, but the two outdoor models run around $250-$280. The devices use lasers to measure the PM2.5 particulates in the air, giving you an AQI reading. My install. It just took one screw onto a 2×4 I already had in a good location.
