Vanellope von Schweetz is the deuteragonist of Disney 's 2012 animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph and its 2018 sequel. She is a young, sharp-tongued racer that originates from the candy-themed racing game Sugar Rush.
Ralph Breaks the Internet. On a quest to save the video game 'Sugar Rush' and to find a replacement, Ralph and his best friend Vanellope travel to the World Wide Web through a Wi-Fi router they find at the arcade.
Vanellope rescues Ralph and crosses the finish line. The game resets, revealing her as the true ruler of Sugar Rush, though she keeps her glitching ability, considering it an advantage. Ralph returns to his game, content with his role as a villain and finally respected by his fellow characters.
