Purchasing legitimate game copies, through the PlayStation Store or through acquiring game discs, and using those copies with RPCS3 is the best way to ensure you will have a clean copy that will work with the emulator. You can use your legal copies with RPCS3 by following the instructions in our Quickstart guide.
What is RPCS3 licensed under? RPCS3 uses the GNU General Public License Version 2 (June 1991). According to the license, you are welcome to use RPCS3 and its source code for any purpose, but distributing RPCS3 requires that the source code be released and attribution given.

2 Νοε 2024 · RPCS3 is an open-source PlayStation 3 emulator/debugger written in C++ for Windows, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD. It is the only emulator that can run commercial games, with over 2,000 considered playable.
RPCS3 Wiki is the official wiki dedicated to RPCS3, the Sony PlayStation 3 emulator. It covers all content relating to RPCS3 including tutorials, guides, patches, best configurations for games, etc. The Wiki aims to be the best repository of up to date information on the emulator.
There are only two ways to decrypt a PSN game (with a local license). One is using your console's ACT.DAT and your IDPS to generate a new RIF key (this method is still not implemented in RPCS3, but it's not used very often) and the other is simply using the RAP file that comes with the game PKG to generate the referred key.
