With around 140,000 passengers and 1,170 trains daily, Vienna Central Station is the busiest long-distance station in Austria. The provincial capitals of Bregenz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Linz and St. Pölten are directly connected to Vienna Airport via the main train station.
28 Ιουν 2024 · Vienna’s main train station, Wien Hbf, is located south of the city center in the Favoriten neighborhood. If you explore the area, you’ll find the Generali-Arena where the FK Austria Wien and AFC Vienna Vikings play, as well as the Böhmischer Prater amusement park.
If the start or end point of your journey is adjacent to a station on line U6 of the Vienna Metro, leave or join trains at Wien-Meidling station and NOT Wien Hbf. All trains to Wien/Vienna from the south and west call first at Wien Meidling, BEFORE they arrive at Wien Hbf.
