Unfortunately the disc has not been up-graded to the immersive surround tracks, so no Dolby Atmos or DTS-X, what we do have is the same DTS-HD MA 6.1 track that adorned the previous releases. Once again, it is no slouch being extremely aggressive in its placement of effects and thunderous bass reproduction.

The fact that Vaughan was chosen was all the more surprising because he infamously left X-Men: Last Stand just before filming was about to start, claiming he wasn't sure he could handle a big budget effects movie.

Hi Can anybody let me know when x-men last stand is due to come out on dvd region1 and 2? I find it hard to get to the cinema as often as I used to as I now have a little carpet cammando that takes up to much time. Any help would be great:)
agreed, x-men 2 perfectly lined up the dark phoenix saga (one of the best ever marvel story lines, granted would have been hard to adapt) and singer goes and jumps ship for the dullest superman film ever Worse thing is I went to the cinema to watch both x men last stand and superman returns :(

This new ultra high definition version was developed by the BDA (Blu-ray Disc Association), which is comprised of all the major studios and consumer electronics companies, and the specifications were finalised in May of 2015.

There was also a book trilogy that continued the story, written by Chris Claremont (of Marvel X-Men fame).
