You can issue the European Digital COVID-19 Certificate if you have either: fallen sick and the positive test result has been recorded by the Health Unit/ Diagnostic Centre/ Laboratory / Unit which performed the test. As of 2 December 2021, the certificate is issued exclusively after a PCR diagnostic test.
The EU Digital COVID Certificate makes it easier to travel within Europe since all of the 27 EU member states recognise it as proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative COVID-19 test result. The Regulation on the EU Digital COVID Certificate entered into force on 1 July 2021.
