Sermon 1 John 3:16-24 Real Love. By Dr. Keith Wagner. There has been quite a stir lately in the country over our policies concerning immigrants. On the one hand we are a nation that welcomes more immigrants than any other industrialized nation in the world.
1) There are no other gods but God alone. 2) A world where no one serves, worships and bows down before idols like money, power, prestige. 3) A world where no one uses God’s name flippantly or in vain. 4) A world where everyone rests on the Sabbath and keeps it holy by worshiping together.
By this we know what love is: Jesus laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. Bp. Wm. Alexander. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us, etc. Our subject naturally divides itself into two main branches. I. THE EXHIBITION OF THE NATURE OF TRUE LOVE.
