Hey all, If you grew up in Lawrence (or NE Kansas) in the 90s you probably remember the epic-ly good radio station that was tragically sold in 1999 where it was quickly transitioned to a top 40 station that is currently operated by the KISSFM conglomerate. That would be 105.9 LAZR.
KLZR, broadcasting from Westcliffe, Colorado, serves the Wet Mountain Valley and beyond. One hundred percent community-powered with volunteers, KLZR provides musical programming 24/7, local concerts and other events throughout the year in our Valley.

That would be 105.9 LAZR. When the news spread DJs quit, fans burned their LAZR keychains, and suffice to say many were disappointed and heartbroken. I remember one DJ rotating "Sellout" by Reel Big Fish HEAVILY during the short transition period.
