22 Ιουλ 2023 · The basic rules for patch placements are outlined in AR 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia. According to these guidelines, the American flag should be worn on the right shoulder pocket flap, while unit patches should be worn on the left shoulder pocket flap.
The 11th Infantry Brigade is an inactive infantry brigade of the United States Army. It was first formed as part of the 6th Division during World War I. It is best known for its service with the 23rd Infantry Division from 1967 through 1971 in the Vietnam War as a light infantry brigade.

The unit colour patches were part of a complex heraldic system that explained in large part the connectivity of the units of the First AIF. In this case, the rectangle signifies the First Division. The pale blue lower bar signifies the third brigade in the division.
5 Μαΐ 2017 · These are all members of the 1st Battalion 11th Infantry of the 1st Brigade 5th Infantry Division in Vietnam. Note that while many of the soldiers wear a pocket patch of the 11th Infantry DUI, they are also wearing an unknown patch on their caps and camouflaged helmet covers.
