The UAMS 12 th Street Health and Wellness Center will provide patient- and family-centered services to: Prevent and improve chronic health conditions. Provide health- and disease-related education. Promote health literacy. Foster interprofessional education in a community setting.
UAMS 12th St Health & Wellness Center is a free clinic located south of UAMS and I-630. We are a student-led, interprofessional center which provides services from the UAMS Colleges of Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and the Graduate School.
The WHI seeks to expand basic women’s health services at 12 th Street, including STD testing, pelvic examinations, Pap smears, HPV testing, thyroid testing, breast examination, patient education on breast self-exams, and mammograms. The WHI is a two-year plan created by the student leadership of 12 th Street. The two year plan is as follows:
4 Ιουν 2024 · The 12th Street Health & Wellness Center. Located at 4010 W. 12 th St. in Little Rock, the clinic has been providing services from students in all five UAMS colleges — Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health — and the Graduate School, since its opening in early 2013.
7 Δεκ 2012 · LITTLE ROCK – Students and faculty at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) today cut the ribbon and dedicated the 12th Street Health and Wellness Center, which will provide free health screenings and information to the minority community where the clinic is located.
