15 Μαρ 2022 · To be able to tell what amperage your circuit breaker will cut the power at, consult the label on your circuit breaker. Be sure to have a higher amperage circuit breaker for your dryer because a 20-ampere circuit breaker will not allow for the required current to power your dryer.
You can use the 50 Amp breaker if you use a sub panel. In the second or sub panel the 50 maps can feed 1 30 amp and 1 20 amp breaker. This will power both the washer and dryer from the sub panel.

The breaker is 30amps for the dryer, the plug on the wall says 50amps and the dryer says 120/280V- 23A and it also says 120/240V-26A. So what do I do next? How can I fix this problem?
16 Αυγ 2023 · If the breaker is 50A, it needs to be reduced to 30 if that's the size your dryer calls for. If you care about safety, the receptacle should be replaced with the NEMA-14 (Hot, Hot, Neutral, Ground) 4-prong type, with a proper ground wire.
You can calculate the minimum required breaker size for this generator like this: 50 Amp × 1.25 = 62.5 Amps. In this case you can go for 70A breaker, or 3x30A breakers, since their capacity if north of 62.5 amps.
If you ask you local building or electrical supply depot for a dual 30 amp breaker for use in a 220v dryer circuit for this model/make breaker panel, they will be able to pick out the correct breaker for you.
