Qualitative data analysis is the classification and interpretation of linguistic (or visual) material to make statements about implicit and explicit dimensions and structures of meaning-making in the material and what is represented in it.
Qualitative analysis aims to uncover patterns, themes, and meanings within the data to develop rich descriptions and understandings of the research topic. Rather than relying on statistical tests, it interprets and makes sense of the data through techniques such as coding [1].
The arithmetic mean —often simply called the ‘mean’—is the simple average of all values in a given distribution. Consider a set of eight test scores: 15, 22, 21, 18, 36, 15, 25, and 15. The arithmetic mean of these values can be calculated using the sum divided by the number of values .
