In 1965 the 18500 lb rear axle that was optional in the Loadstar 1800 was made available in the 1700. The maximum ratings for the 1700 were raised to 25500 lb GVW and 45000 lb GCW, the same as for the 1800 at the time. However, the 1800 used a larger front axle and higher capacity springs.
1970 International Loadstar CO 1700. The Loadstar CO 1600, 1700, and 1800 were forward control cab-over-engine versions of the Loadstar, built from 1963 until 1970. They were available with loaded weights from 19,500 to 27,500 pounds (8,800 to 12,500 kg).
8 Οκτ 2016 · Still operating a 1966 IHC Loadstar 1700 truck tractor that I bought back in 1976 for around $2000.00. Has a 345 gas engine. Over the years I have used it to pull an old single deck cattle liner, a 40' tandem highboy, and most recently a lowboy with tandem 10000 lb axles with dual wheels.
12 Απρ 2023 · Cohort Outtake: International Loadstar 1700 – Makes A Rugged Pickup. (first posted 4/12/2017) Nifticus posted shots of this International Loadstar at the Cohort, and I can’t just walk by. These were once by far the best selling medium truck in the country, and for quite a few years.
This 1973 International 1700 Loadstar is a 24′ box truck that was used as a car hauler by racing driver Monte Shelton before being acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in January 2018. It is powered by a 392ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and has been refinished in blue with the selling dealer’s livery.
