1970 International Loadstar CO 1700. The Loadstar CO 1600, 1700, and 1800 were forward control cab-over-engine versions of the Loadstar, built from 1963 until 1970. They were available with loaded weights from 19,500 to 27,500 pounds (8,800 to 12,500 kg).

The BD-282 engine was dropped and the 236-hp V-392 V8 was added. In mid-1971 the V-392 was increased to 253 hp. In 1972 the BD-308 and Perkins diesel were dropped and an optional Allison 4-speed automatic joined the continuing Allison 6-speed. Larger 10.00-20 tires also became available.

I"m thinking of going to a 35" tandem axle with dual wheels which ought to give me a payload towards 15000lbs. I like the looks of the old IH trucks and that is what my tractors are so it ought to fit well.
