23 Μαΐ 2008 · A good clone has a Boss 302 motor (new Boss or original), is a manual (4 or 5 speed) and has a track lock rearend (9 inch preferred). Reinforced shock towers and staggered rearshocks preferred as well. A great clone is all Boss original parts just wrong VIN.
24 Αυγ 2007 · Restored 1970 Mustang Fastback Boss 302 Clone. One of our favorite colors for Boss 302’s is the school bus yellow used on the Bud Moore Trans-Am cars. This good looking clone is available here on Craigslist in Gwinnett, Georgia for $35k. This car is very clean and was used in several promotional photos for Mustangs Unlimited.

Whether the goal is a more affordable clone or the genuine article, there’s the need to tell them apart.
As well as upgrades to the drivetrain and engine, the Boss 302 featured front and rear aerodynamic improvements which included a rear spoiler. A total of 8,641 Boss 302 Mustangs were built for the 1969 (1,628 built) and 1970 (7,013 built) model years before the model was discontinued.
