  1. 22 Ιουν 2023 · I have a 1976 Honda CB750 F1 with a charging problem. Last winter I installed a complete new wiring harness. She fired up great but after ± 100km it drained the battery. The things I checked: - stator coils al 0.8Ohm. - stator coils make no contact to ground. - rectifier diodes are ok. - field coil 7.8Ohm (between the white and green wire)

  2. If it is a daily rider, not trying to save any weight or space, I would recommend an AGM battery. For my 750 I used a scorpion AGM battery, it fit in factory location, does its jog, and it is sealed so no maintenance/filling.

  3. 15 Ιαν 2018 · My CB 750 is not charging my battery while riding. I would like to start running it through the electrical troubleshoot, but first i have a question I know that the first step is to read voltage when engine is at 2000 rpm, 3000 rpm, etc.

  4. 22 Οκτ 2019 · Battery if new MUST be fully charged BEFORE you ever try to use it on the bike or it will appear to not be charging. Using the charging system to charge up a new battery up is one of the best ways to fail a charging system there is.

  5. Not all charging system problems are due to lack of charge. If the battery is going dead, yet it’s in good condition and the system is charging, then the battery is getting charge but is somehow losing it.

  6. 7 Σεπ 2010 · Start with the wiring between the stator and rectifier, rectifier to regulator, and the regulator to the battery. Those old connections get weak, especially the stator to harness connector.

  7. The stock 750 rectifiers were only 15 volt units until about the K4, then went to 25 volt units. Either one can be damaged with a battery charger that exceeds 6 amps of charge rate, if the charger is hooked to the battery while it is still wired to the bike.
