10 Απρ 2011 · There is a 3 wire plug that sits a few inches from the regulator, and plugs into the main wiring harness that goes back into the cab. There are 2 small gauge wires in it, one red with yellow stripe, one yellow with black stripe, and then one larger gauge wire, black with a double yellow stripe.
Step #1 Disconnect the battery! Always do this step! Step #2 Locate the voltage regulator, usually on the firewall. Remove the ARM and FLD wires and tape them back with electrical tape in case you or the next guy want to re-install a generator. These wires connect to the generator and you don’t need them.

I've got all the old parts out, but can't identify a wire using my repair manuals (not FSM, only parts store books).
15 Ιαν 2011 · 1979 ford alternator wiring 3 wire*. Were in the middle of building a 1940 truck. And we got a 1979 ltd donor car we striped the car a while ago, and I wasn't involved in getting the motor out, and they hacked all the wires on it.
24 Οκτ 2010 · gahi's diagram is the correct way to wire a GM 10SI/12SI, and utilize all the benefits of that great design. The output and sensor wire (#2) should go to the main power distribution location, as shown, not to the battery.
