An alternate version of the Mets' primary logo, with a black skyline and "Mets" script in blue outlined in white with orange drop-shadow, was introduced in 1999 and worn on the left sleeve of both black alternate jerseys.
The Mets' primary logo is a circular crest with an orange outline, containing a blue silhouetted representation of New York City's skyline against a white background, with the word "Mets" in orange cursive script outlined in white just below the center of the circle.
A second alternate jersey is added, which is worn both at home and on the road. It is a black button-down jersey with "Mets" in script across front on an upward slant and 4-inch block numbers at the lower left. All lettering and numbering is royal blue with a white outline and an orange drop-shadow.

28 Οκτ 2015 · A new alternate jersey, the Mets first since 1984, is introduced. It’s black with “Mets” across the front in blue with white trim and an orange drop shadow. This jersey is worn with that new black cap also seen with the road jersey.
18 Απρ 2011 · A new away alternate jersey, is introduced: black with blue trim, with "New York" on the front in blue with a white outline and orange drop shadow (the black alternates introduced the prior year said "Mets" on the front and were used both at home and on the road).
