The GT2's engine was based on the 3.6 L (220 cu in) flat-6 engine as seen on the Turbo, but featured two variable geometry turbochargers. The engine generated a maximum power output of 390 kW (530 PS; 523 hp) at 6,500 rpm and 680 N⋅m (502 lb⋅ft) of torque at 2,200 rpm.
As a two-wheel drive vehicle, the GT2 had significant weight savings as compared to the standard 993 Turbo from Porsche, making it instantly competitive in racing. The 993 GT2's original 3.6 L (220 cu in) engine generated a maximum power output of 316 kW (430 PS; 424 hp).

28 Φεβ 2013 · The 3.6 litre engine is a turbocharged, double overhead camshaft, 6 cylinder that produces 430 bhp (436 PS/321 kW) of power at 5750 rpm, and maximum torque of 540 N·m (398 lb·ft/55.1 kgm) at 4500 rpm. It features dry sump-type lubrication.
It first arrived in 1995 with a 3.6 liter twin turbo engine and 424 bhp. It got a nice upgrade in 1998 and power was increased to 450 bhp. While the GT2 and other special variants were rare, it is worth mentioning the super-rare variants of the model 993, both never officially offered for sale.
Designed to compete in FIA GT1, it incorporated a twin turbocharged 3.6L flat-6 engine rated at a full 600 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque. The 911 GT2, utilizing a steel 993 Twin Turbo chassis with modifications for racing, scored numerous victories in a wide variety of racing venues.
