2 Ιουν 1998 · God wants us to come to grips with the subject of this verse “first.” Above everything else, God wants us to know something about divine inspiration . When we interpret Scripture, we need to know as a leading principle that God inspired the Bible, not men.
In speaking as he has concerning God’s power to change lives, Peter has not been giving some theory out of his own imagination. He himself saw the power of God of which he speaks.

Possibly this passage is meant to refer to 1 Peter 1:10-12, and if so, we have a mark of genuineness; a forger would have made the reference more clear. If the coincidence is accidental, this also points in the same direction; in any case, the coincidence is worth noting.
