A 50:1 oil to gas ratio means that for every 50 parts of gasoline, there is 1 part of oil. This is a common ratio for many modern two-stroke engines. For 5 gallons of gas at a 50:1 ratio: Oil Amount = (5 * 128) / (50 - 1) = 13 ounces. You would mix 13 ounces of oil with 5 gallons of gas for a 50:1 ratio.
