The Eiffel Tower (/ ˈaɪfəl / ⓘ EYE-fəl; French: Tour Eiffel [tuʁ ɛfɛl] ⓘ) is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower from 1887 to 1889.

The Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure in the world until the topping off of the Chrysler Building in New York City in 1929.
28 Απρ 2022 · Before it was called the Eiffel Tower, it was known as the 300-meter (984-foot) tower! At its official opening, the tower was actually 1,024 feet tall, thanks to its gigantic mast and the French flag that flew at the top for several decades.
It's an iron lattice tower that stands 984 feet tall (1,063 feet if you include the broadcast antennas at the top). At completion, it passed the Washington Monument as the tallest man-made structure in the world.
30 Ιαν 2023 · The official height of the Eiffel Tower is 984 feet. However, if you include the broadcast antenna that now sits at the top, the entire tower measures approximately 1,083 feet. It recently had an upgraded antenna installed in 2022, which is six feet taller than the one it replaced.
The tower is 300 m (980 feet) tall, but this does not include the 24 m (79 feet) aerial (antenna) on the top; the total height of the structure is 324 m (1,063 feet). It has a square base that is 125 m (410 feet) long on each side.
