15 Νοε 2014 · Cetane ratings at 50 are the best for maximum fuel economy and least amount of ash (smoke) to plug the DPF. You will get fewer regens along with the mileage increase. Too bad the oil companies are not required to post this cetane rating on the pumps like gas has to post the octane rating.

10 Ιουλ 2010 · so if you are comparing a 07 and up truck of any of the big 3 makes, I think you are going to see a big time increase in mileage with the 2011, possibly 30-40% maybe more. its possible the 2011's could actually be the most fuel efficient diesel truck that I know of.
The 6.7L Power Stroke is equipped with a high-pressure common rail direct injection. The Bosch CP4.2 fuel pump supplies fuel under a 30,000 psi for the 19 mm Piezo actuated Bosch injectors with 8 hole nozzles. The fuel injectors are capable of pulling off five events per combustion cycle.
