I've always thought that the black hardware looks SO much better (classy versus overly 'blingy') on the Fodera's, versus the gold that seems to be used on the vast majority of those instruments. I also greatly prefer the 'P Bass' symmetrical body style of the Monarch versus the larger 'J Bass' inspired Emperor.

30 Αυγ 2004 · I just got this Fodera Monarch a few days ago from Bass Central. I can definitely see why there’s so much fuss about these instruments. It plays so easily right out of the box.
14 Μαρ 2007 · I bought a Monarch Standard 4 string last December. It's super-easy to play, weighs only 8.5 pounds, and is quite versatile. I even like the sound of the front pickup soloed and I'm not normally a fan of that sound. Mine has dual coils and that allows more tonal options. It cost a small fortune but I can't say I regret it.
