28 Ιουλ 2020 · Usually, a too tight chain or belt will cause stress on the output shaft bearing and the crankcase. This can lead to a damaged bearing or, more often, an over-stressed crankcase, causing the hole for the output bearing to become oval and allowing the bearing to spin in the cases.

31 Ιουλ 2022 · I've been working on my grandfather's 2012 vstar 950 tourer with around 50k miles. I'm losing power around half throttle in 5th gear.
28 Φεβ 2019 · my belt issues, and most others in the early years of the 950, is because they were over-tightened from the factory due to Yamaha's incorrect specs. i replaced my belt at 30k miles, loosened the tension, and now have over 60k miles on my replacement belt.
