I finally bagged my ride. 2013 Yamaha V-Star 250- $1900. It's got some noticeable cosmetic flaws, but it's mechanically sound. For a beginner's beater, I think I did good.
A 670lbs bike going over on you is gonna hurt like a bitch. That being said, try and swing a leg over both and then decide if it's too much for you to hold. The 950 is a good beginner bike for most at 6'1 or 6'2, but if you feel fine with the weight, a 1300 might be great for you at 6'4.
Bought it from a guy who originally purchased it for his wife but she was too short/small for it. Got it for a steal of $2500. It’s my second bike, first was 78 Yamaha 750S. My dad just recently bought a 2013 VStar 950 from a local dealer for $4500. You get a lot of bike for the price.
31 Μαΐ 2013 · If you haven't experienced the performance of a liquid cooled v twin go try one. It seems if you have a 950, it makes no sense to get an 1,100 (too close a difference). Exactly. The fuel injected 950 will out perform the 1100 with acceleration, in high altitudes and more.
