Approved Maps and labelled SCV Final Map Congressional Districts 12.27.2021, SCV Final Map Senate Districts 12.27.2021, and SCV Final Map House of Delegates Districts 12.27.2021 ( c ollectively referred to as "Final Redistricting Maps").
Final Maps. Approved unanimously by the Supreme Court of VA on 12.28.21, these maps are effectively immediately and will be used in the next elections. To read about the Special Masters’ methodology and reasoning for the maps, check out their memo.
Interactive Map. Pursuant to §24.2-103.1 (B) of the Code of Virginia, the Department shall maintain and make available on its official website maps showing the current election district and precinct boundaries of each county and city.
2021 Redistricting Timeline. In 2021, redistricting ceased to be a "winner-take-all" exercise. Voters approved a new process, one that called for bipartisan cooperation. But Virginia's new Redistricting Commission never came close to agreement.
