The 2.5-liter Toyota 2AR-FE engine has been assembled since 2008 at factories in Japan and the United States. The motor is installed on a wide range of front-wheel drive models of the concern, including Lexus and Scion.
The 2AR-FE engine is an in-line, 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter, 16-valve DOHC engine. This engine uses the Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) system, DIS (Direct Ignition System), ACIS (Acoustic Control Induction System) and ETCS-i (Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent).
23 Απρ 2023 · I don't know much about the specifics, but most -FXE engines are really designed to work with the hybrid system and will likely be horrible to drive without them as they have really poor torque, esp. at low RPM, compared to the normal Otto-cycle versions.
8 Φεβ 2022 · Since 2AR-FE is the recent engine and has more power and better configuration, many models of Toyota like Toyota Camry, Toyota RAV4, Scion TC, Lexus ES300h, Lexus GS300h, Lexus IS300h, Lexus NX300h, Toyota Alphard, Toyota Harrier, etc. can use this, unlike 2AZ-FE.
