20 Σεπ 2008 · Best bang for the buck is to put turbo parts on the NA motor. Followed by putting a turbo motor in (with turbo parts attached...lol). Which is followed by a small block Chevy V8. The RB is pretty far down that list.
11 Δεκ 2017 · For an LS swap in a Z31 you need the Motor, Transmission, Full Wiring harness or custom harness, ECM, Low Profile Intake like from a Camaro/firebird or corvette, LS1 Oil pan from F body 99-2002 and then Mounts for all items. Dirty Dingo makes a mount kit for the engine but you still need to fabricate everything else.

Since you're having a mechanic do it, i'd source a VG30 short block (assembled bottom end/heads) and have them swap over the accessories. Any motor will work from 84-88. An VG30ET would involve a ECU swap and wiring detective work that would get expensive very quickly.
