22 Φεβ 2007 · Hey fellas, Looking at some heads for my friend that an old engine builder is selling and hes had them in it back store room for some time, he says there from a boat that had a 351w. I got the cast numbers but can't find any info on the heads.

Popular upgrades include either the GT-40 cylinder heads from the 302 or 351 Cleveland cylinder heads, both of which provide better breathing for more horsepower. Other upgrades include revised camshafts, headers, and increased fuel delivery.
The 351W’s cylinder heads are a great budget horse-power swap for 289 and 302 engines because they employ the same block deck patterns. These desirable heads have larger ports, valves, and chambers.
18 Ιουλ 2005 · about the only real difference is the cylinder heads. the later heads, after 1976 iirc, are the same as the 302 heads as far as port size and valve size go. also the last couple of years they were designed for roller lifters. that said use what ever 351w block you find in good shape. they all can handle alot of power.
