17 Μαρ 2023 · 1969 Ford 351 Windsor Firing Order. The firing order – 1-3-5-7-2-6-5-4-8 – follows a specific sequence. Starting at the front of the engine, cylinders #1 and #2 fire first (1-3), cylinders #3 and #4 next (5-7), cylinders #5 and #6 after that (2-6), and lastly cylinders #7 and #8 (5-4-8).

17 Ιαν 2014 · In 1978, Ford put small-valve 302 cylinder heads on the 351W and banished it to grocery getters and full-length vans. But the 351W was the little engine that could. And it was resurrected as a performance powerplant for later model Mustangs, though known mostly as the Ford 5.8L.
18 Ιουλ 2005 · about the only real difference is the cylinder heads. the later heads, after 1976 iirc, are the same as the 302 heads as far as port size and valve size go. also the last couple of years they were designed for roller lifters. that said use what ever 351w block you find in good shape. they all can handle alot of power.
The 351W, or "Windsor" engine, manufactured between 1969 and 2001, is a member of Ford's 90-degree eight-cylinder engine family. Not to be confused with Ford's 351 "Cleveland" engine, the 351W gets its name from Ford's Windsor, Canada, plant, where it was briefly manufactured.
