Install the cam phaser/sprocket and measure camshaft end play with a dial indicator. If the end play is not within spec, (0.0031 - 0.0114 in.) remove the cam and check for and remove any debris or burrs.
2 Φεβ 2023 · Almost all of the bare blocks, short blocks, & crate engines that I've found online have been 392 blocks that have been bored out to wither 426ci or 440ci. With that being said, once a block has been bored out, you'll need new a valvetrain & heads, & of course a cam.
