Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN is a safe and per-manently effective passive capillary drainage system for floor assemblies. The material is installed in exterior areas into thin bed adhe-sive over a sloped waterproofing assembly, such as Schlüter-KERDI or other suitable proprietary waterproofing systems.

HOW TO SELECT A FLOOR DRAIN. Floor drains are primarily used for inside locations where the flow rate into the drain can be anticipated. Sufficient top size and grate free area to pass the anticipated flow are required. Grate free area is defined as "the total area of the drainage openings in the grate."
Tile Spacing. This chart can be utilized to estimate the amount of 4” drainage tile needed based on your desired spacing. This is not meant to be exact and will vary depending on the design of the system.
