12 Νοε 2018 · Stopping disease-modifying therapy (DMT) in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) after age 60 may be a good strategy, suggests an observational study out of Cleveland Clinic.
Objective: To evaluate clinical and patient-reported outcomes after stopping DMT in older MS patients. Methods: Retrospective, observational study identifying patients from our MS clinics who were aged over 60 and on DMT > 2 years.
1 Φεβ 2023 · Thirty-five patients were included (68.6% female), with a mean age at diagnosis of 42.1 ( ± 9.5) years and a median EDSS score of 3 (IQR 2) at the age of 60 years (baseline). Thirteen patients discontinued DMT after baseline, in a mean follow-up time of 77.1 months ( ± 40.2).
