4 Ιαν 2021 · A 4oo block with a 3" stroke displaces 321 cu. in. and with a 3.25: stroke displaces 348 cu. in. My build has a 0.030" overbore for a bore of 4.155" with a 327 stroke and it displaces 353 cu.inch. Paul
8 Φεβ 2021 · The 427ci V8, in both of its forms, featured a bore measurement of 4.25”, and 3.76” stroke. However, each carried its own distinct compression ratio. In its 390 HP configuration, the 427ci ran on a 10.25:1 compression ratio, while the engine’s 425 HP variant operated off of an 11.0:1 compression ratio.
27 Αυγ 2022 · The most important similarity is displacement. All seven 7.0L Big-Block variants have the same 4.251 x 3.760 stroke and bore. While displacement is the same on all 427 engines, compression ratio varies a fair amount between them.

Bore and stroke was 4⁄ in × 3⁄ in (104.8 mm × 82.6 mm), resulting in a substantially oversquare design. This engine was superseded by the 409 cu in (6.7 L) as Chevrolet's top performing engine in 1961 and went out of production for cars at the end of that year.
