17 Ιουλ 2007 · I`m thinking about trying my luck at black bear hunting with my Ruger 45 Colt. I was wondering if anyone has used this caliber hunting bears. I was also wanting some info on bullets and powders. I have 250grn. Hornady XTP`s and H4227 and H110 on hand.

22 Νοε 2005 · A 45 Colt would definitely work against a Black Bear, but it all depends on how quick of a shot you are. You generally want a fairly heavy bullet with decent velocity. Heck, a 9mm will kill a Black Bear if you are a good shot.
