3 Ιαν 2009 · I have a Gesichert German Lugar that has been in our family for many years that I am trying to find the value of. It has the numbers 58025 stamped on Side and Bottom of the Barrel as well as on the face of the Trigger Guard.
10 Νοε 2023 · Bottom line - you could have a round with better velocity and more foot pounds and if the bullet design is subpar a slower less powerful round with a better bullet will out perform it. I have sold/shot up all the 165 I had and plan to stick with 180 grain for both target and SD.
30 Αυγ 2003 · I have two different loads worked up, one for the Hornady 165 grain and one for the Hornady 180 grain bullet. The 165 grain load will provide a higher velocity with comparable terminal energy as the 180 grain, which will travel slightly slower.
31 Μαρ 2006 · I'm trying to decide on the best defense round for my .40 cal. and wanted to know why, from what I have read, most people pick the 165 gr. What are its advantages over the other two? I'm not trying to start a big debate, and I know accuracy is the top priority.
5 Δεκ 2007 · If we start the 165 grainer at 2900 fips and the 180 grainer at 2700 fips, the 165 grainer will drop 3 inches less at 400 yards (with both loads zeroed at 200). Also, at 400 yards the 165 grainer will be travelling 100 fips faster than the 180 grainer.
8 Απρ 2012 · I have not seen any difference in accuracy with the 180gr or 165 gr in either weapon. I do however notice a difference in recoil. You need to try them for yourself and see which one is better for you and your weapon.
23 Ιουν 2012 · I heard that 180 grain FM was not good to use in the Glock 40 Cal and it was best to use 165 grain. Any suggestions? I currently am using 180 grain fmj blazer brass for my range ammo
