9 Φεβ 2024 · I have seen a couple reviews on the new SD40-2s, and some indicated the locos are jerky at slow speeds. Not something that I want on steep grades and sharp curves in the mountains. Anyone with ST units of any kind, what's the running quality like?

24 Νοε 2003 · Micro Trains has always been the granddaddy of N-scale rolling stock (and now make an FT). They have also commanded the highest prices. Other higher end companies include Intermountain (which now also produces locos – a real nice FT, SD40T-2, and an F3 on the way), Red Caboose, Deluxe, LBF.
9 Σεπ 2010 · The current state-of-the-art in N scale is really excellent stuff, certainly at a price, but 'some' of the low-end train sets persist in packaging rather obsolete designs at a cut-rate price and it's pretty counterproductive.
