The Nominal Major Diameter and Threads-per-inch (Pitch) are defined by ANSI/ASME B1.1 and are the choices for the customary Unified screws and nuts. Nominal Diameter
Overview. The Unified Thread Standard (UTS) defines a 60° thread form in Inch dimensions as described in the ASME B1.1 standard. It is the North American equivalent of the ISO metric thread system. The UTS serves as the leading standard for bolts, nuts, and a wide variety of other threaded fasteners used in the USA and Canada.
23 Φεβ 2024 · It includes details such as major diameters, threads per inch, tap drill sizes, and pitch dimensions in both inches and millimeters. The UNF thread system is widely used across the United States in applications requiring a higher tensile strength or a finer degree of adjustment.
UNF – Unified National Fine Thread. Female and Male UNC/UNF threads are both parallel. The UNC/UNF flank angle is 60°. Unified threads comes in three different classes: for applications where a liberal tolerance is required to permit easy assembly even with slightly nicked threads.
This tap and clearance drill chart shows tap and clearance drill sizes for standard threads. There is also a printable version that has both metric and inch threads.
